CurriculumSunflowers Nursery follows the Foundation Phase framework for the over 3’s, whilst under 3’s follow the birth to 3 matters framework in preparation for Foundation Phase. This gives them the opportunity to gain confidence in an exciting, stimulating and rewarding play environment which encourages development. We are also currently in training and developing planning for the new curriculum being introduced to Wales in 2022, you will see the 'four purposes' board on our front doors when they are open!
RoutineAt Sunflowers Nursery we are committed to ensuring that your child has the smoothest transition into the nursery which is why we provide opportunities for visits/shorter sessions (prior to full/formal enrolment at 2 years if required) as well as introducing children (and parents) to the environment at their own pace to adapt to time away from home/family and into new routines.
A typical day at Sunflowers Nursery would include a welcome and self-registration, free play, snack café, focused activities, outdoor play (all weathers - waterproofs provided) and group story/ music sessions, all of which are personalised to meet the needs of your child. |
